SwapBox and Peeze partner to pilot reusable packaging for coffee beans

We are proud to announce that SwapBox has partnered with Peeze to pilot reusable packaging for coffee beans. As a company with a clear circular ambition, Peeze aims to achieve a waste-free coffee chain, and this pilot project is an important step towards that goal.

Through the use of reusable coffee packaging that can be returned after use, washed, and used again, Peeze will be testing a more sustainable solution for the business-to-business market. One of the locations where the reusable packaging will be piloted is Burgers Zoo, and we are thrilled to be a part of this innovative project.

SwapBox will be providing its WaaS (Washing as a Service) and tracking technology to assist Peeze in the pilot. Our WaaS is flexible and scalable, making it a perfect fit for this project. The reusable buckets will be washed in our hub located in Waddinxveen and will be put through ATP and allergen testing before being delivered back to Peeze's production location where the packaging will be refilled.

In addition to our washing services, SwapBox is also providing tracking technology that will allow Peeze to track all of its packaging assets through the process and easily keep an overview of the different flows within the process. This data will be used to measure important data points, such as the cycle time it takes for a container to flow through the entire supply chain.

This partnership is a significant step towards reducing single-use packaging for food and drinks in the entire supply chain. As the world becomes more environmentally conscious, it is crucial that companies work together to find sustainable solutions. SwapBox's WaaS offers a scalable and efficient way for businesses to transition to reusable packaging. By combining Peeze's commitment to sustainability and SwapBox's expertise in washing reusables, this partnership is set to change the way we think about coffee packaging.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Curtec for providing the packaging and Burgers Zoo for being willing to take this important step toward a zero-waste future. We are excited to see the results of this pilot project and look forward to working with Peeze and other like-minded companies to make sustainable packaging a reality.
